Profit Improvement

Most business managers would be pleased with improved profits. CDA has assisted many companies to reduce costs, increase sales, improve operations, and increase the bottom line.

For example, a $25 million division of a Fortune 500 corporation had been losing money for many years. When we were asked to take it over the division's annual losses were running at $2.5 million. After working with customers, sales and service personnel, and the manufacturing and distribution departments improved operations resulted in an increase in annual profits of $4.0 million. All this took only eighteen months.

How did we do it? We asked questions, and we talked with people. We listened.

We began by talking with the customers. What did they like and dislike about the company? We talked with the sales force. What made their job easy or hard? We reviewed the sales patterns of 125 tool models. We reviewed manufacturing planning and product distribution. We held joint meetings with sales, manufacturing, service, distribution and purchasing to define and solve the problems.

After all of the discussions we completely revised the production and inventory scheduling by basing it on monthly running sales forecasts. We deleted forty redundant tool models. We improved the service operations and reduced their cost. We revised purchasing procedures. We made sure that the proper products were available when, and where, they were needed. And, we improved profits immensely.

We can provide the same sort of improvement for your company.

We can help your company to increase profits, also.
