Corporate Planning

Corporate Planning is becoming more and more difficult. All of the management classes and seminars teach business analysis, market analysis, SWOP analysis, and all of the rest of the classic planning tools. However, things are changing. The U.S. economy has become the world economy. Companies conduct business at the speed of light over the Internet.

Strategic plans which used to be prepared to cover five to ten year spans are now obsolete shortly after they are distributed.

A different method of planning is required. It is still necessary to determine the company's strengths and weaknesses, as well as those of the competition. Instead of planning related to specific products, more attention must be placed on general market areas to be addressed. The world market and economic fluidity requires that current and potential competition be considered. Contingency and "what if..." planning must be carried out, and the organization must be sufficiently flexible and responsive that environmental changes may be quickly, and profitably accommodated.

This is what CDA does.
